Trip to northern Vietnam is incomplete without a sojourn to breathtaking Ha Long Bay which often called the eighth natural wonder of the world. This archipelago which located in the Golf of Tonkin is characterized by thousands of unique limestone and dolomite islands that rise jaggedly from the water like a dragon’s scales. In fact, Ha Long means Where the dragon descends into the sea, and the bay is said to have been created when a giant dragon thrashed its way out to sea to halt the intrusion of enemy navies.
One day is plenty of time to experience Ha Long Bay and appreciate the epic grandeur of the area. Out on the water, on a large comfortable Chinese style junk you’ll float amongst the same grottos that have been capturing the imaginations of visitors for centuries, and in the floating villages of the area you’ll catch a glimpse of a totally different way of life.
Itinerary:
07.30 We pick you up at your hotel.
08.00 We depart for Ha Long City. We’ll stop for a short break of 15 minutes on halfway.
11.30 Arrival in Ha Long City. You’ll have the choice of enjoying a sumptuous seafood lunch either at a restaurant or out on the boat
13.00 Time to climb aboard the boat and get out on the water of Ha Long Bay. On your cruise you will visit two of Ha Long most famous caves: Thien Cung Cave or the Palace of Heaven Grotto and Dau Go Cave or the Wooden Stake Grotto. Afterwards, we’ll take you by one of the area’s famous floating villages where you’ll regard the fishermen who make their livings out on the water and by as well as the famous Fighting Cock Islet.
16.00 We depart via air condition car for Hanoi, arriving in the city at about 7.30 pm
